The IBM Reflexive User Interface Builder (RIB) relies upon a number of third-party components including Jython, Apache's Bean Scripting Framework (BSF), the JBoss-AOP engine, and IBM's Cloudscape database management system. In order to have as painless an installation as possible, we *** highly *** recommend that you thoroughly read the pre-requisites and carefully follow the installation instructions in the readme.first file that is bundled with the Eclipse .zip archive. This readme will tell you where to obtain these third-party components and how to install them in order to prepare them for the RIB installer.

The RIB installer itself will ask you to provide the installation locations of these components and of your Eclipse installation and the location of your JDK installation. With regard to the latter, note that RIB requires a full JDK and not merely a JRE due to its use of the javac tool.

Please feel free to post comments or suggestions to this forum regarding the installation of RIB or any other feature of the product.
