The IBM Reflexive User Interface Builder (RIB) Eclipse Version 1.0 is a major enhancement to the previous version of RIB. In addition to it prior command line form, RIB now runs as an Eclipse plug-in which allows it to run in any Eclipse based product, including tools such as IBM's Rational Application Developer. RIB has many enhancements that make it much easier and more efficient to use. As an Eclipse plug-in, it can now easily become part of your normal Eclipse Java IDE-based development process. RIB can now be used to easily validate stand-alone Swing and SWT based applications and the Eclipse runtime itself. This is in addition to its previous ability to validate RIB XML document based GUIs.

Earlier versions of RIB stressed GUI construction. This version of RIB stresses GUI inspection and validation. The majority of enhancements have greatly extended RIB's validation capabilities.
