Well, BEEP basically helps when it comes to developing application protocols;
see http://beepcore.org/docs/rfc3117.html for a detailed discussion on the
design of application protocols. So far, BEEP is used in grid computing,
systems management, web services (SOAP over BEEP), device discovery, ...
