Hi,

Consider the following use-case:
  • I have a directory protected by realtime backup using CDP
  • Following a user mistake, a bunch of file and directories gets deleted.

Question :
  • Is it possible to instruct CDP "Restore the following directory to the state it has the day before files erasing has been made".

Thanks for your support.

Hi,

In the current release there is no "Point in Time" restore. I am not sure if you have an IBM rep that can open a FIT's request, but that would be the course of action to get this functionality added to a future release.

Thanks,
Erik

This king of feature is found in every entreprise wide backup solution I know.
This is also linked with another post I made called "Restore won't choose latest file" ...
It make using CDP for disaster recovery or "directory delete by mistake" recovery very painfull.
I'm a bit disapointed : CDP seems to works very well, but being unable to do restore the way I want make it almost useless.
