Where are jps and jstat?

I've just started working with AIX and I can't find jps or jstat in the SDK.
Does IBM not provide them?
Do they provide an equivalent?

No, IBM does not provide jps or jstat.

There is no direct equivalent available, but you might want to take a look at Health Center, which is available from here:

Thanks for the link.

Thats quite a hefty application though (325MB download!)
It seems a bit more like VisualVM than jps/jstat as it looks quite full featured.

Are there no command line tools available then?

Yeah, the download is large - Health Center is deployed as a tool inside the IBM Support Assistand (ISA) workbench, which provides a lot more than the JVM/Java application monitoring, and hence the size.

As I said, there isn't a direct equivalent to jps/jstat, but we do have ways of obtaining similar data via the command line. Is there anything in particular your looking to monitor?
