Hi,

I have nearly 60 TCP connections in close wait state hanging for about 2 days.

Established connections do not go above 15 and time-wait tops 25 connections, and close-wait 73.

established: 10
syn-sent: 0
syn-received: 0
fin-wait-1: 0
fin-wait-2: 0
time-wait: 23
closed: 0
close-wait: 64
last-ack: 0
listen: 23
closing: 0

firmware 3.7.3.5

There are no errors in the ethernet interface.

In the past 2 days, we had network issues, but why datapower holds these connections on close-wait?

We are having the same problem in 3.7.3.6, connections hanging in close-wait and fin-wait-2. IBM has opened APAR IC64278 to track this issue.

I seeing the same problem with my appliance. We use JMS messaging and every so often we have connection errors and apparently the Datapower does not close properly the open connections. After a while they consume some considerable memory available.
