Hi All,

I have been working with the 7.1.1 code on my vm lab and with this new version and the WinPE. I was able to get the WinPE software module created with no probs, but everytime I try to capture or deploy an image it just keeps looping until it times out.

For example, during a capture, I can see the select boot engine task and the downloading of the WinPE boot engine. It then boots to the WinPE environment (see the little Vista like scroll bar) then the screen goes black and boots back into OSD. Then it starts the whole process over again until it times out.

I have attached the log and trc files for the task.

I am pretty sure this is something simple that I overlooked.

Thanks

Think I got it. It turns out that since I was doing this all in VMware there is a little trick. You need to create the guest as a Vista guest even if you are planning to install some other OS. Got this from http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/mlucero/archive/2008/03/13/winpe-troubleshooting-vmware-pxe-boot-has-no-network-information.aspx.

Now I am getting the NET/Disk error as discussed in https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/message.jspa?messageID=14303906&tstart=0 so just working through that :)
