Business Process Choreographer and WebSphere Platform Messaging (SIBus) provide an enterprise-class business process execution environment. In the first installment of this series we developed a multi-operation Web service using Rational Application Developer. In this second and final part we’ll use Business Process Choreographer to orchestrate the operations of a SIBus-managed Web service.

In this tutorial

  • Implementation of PurchaseTickets business process

  • Develop PurchaseTickets business process

  • Deploy and Test PurchaseTickets process

  • Client/Process Invocation using SIBus

Prerequisites


System requirements

The following technologies and products are used and discussed in this tutorial:

  1. IBM HTTP Server Version 6.0
  2. WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation Version 5.1.1
  3. WebSphere Application Server Version 6.0
  4. Rational Application Developer Version 6.0
  5. WebSphere Studio Application Developer-Integration Edition Version 5.1.1

We assume that the Business Process Container within WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation is configured and operational. A detailed description of the steps required to perform this configuration is outside the scope of this tutorial.
