Prepare for the IBM® Certification Test 996, WebSphere® MQ Solution Designer. This tutorial continues the discussion of the Message Queue Interface (MQI) begun in the previous tutorial and completes the series. It is the fifth tutorial in a series of five tutorials.

Prerequisites

This tutorial is written for developers and architects with intermediate experience in application and solution design and implementation. It assumes intermediate knowledge and skills in the following:

  • Transaction management and database products
  • Systems management
  • Basic programming concepts
  • Data communications and networking
  • Information technology security concepts


System requirements

The examples in this tutorial were developed with WebSphere MQ V6.0 for Windows® and Rational® Application Developer V6.0 for Windows.
