24 Jul 2007 This tutorial, Part 2 of a series, introduces the concepts and tools involved with modeling service-oriented architecture (SOA) using IBM® Rational® Software Architect. In this series, you will learn how Rational Software Architect, along with IBM® WebSphere® Business Modeler, supports a model-driven development (MDD) approach to the specification of SOA. By using a fictitious online DVD rental case study, this tutorial walks through in detail how a domain model is created in Rational Software Architect, and shows how the domain model relates to business items identified in WebSphere Business Modeler. The domain model is the third of the top-down models that the authors describe in this series, along with the business architecture model and the business process model.
