This tutorial is for developers and IT professionals that would like to use IBM
OmniFind Yahoo! Edition as an enterprise search engine for the company intranet. It is
also for those interested in implementing OmniFind APIs to integrate new or existing

System requirements
This tutorial uses the following technologies in addition to OmniFind in order to build
a Web application to integrate with OmniFind:

Edition
- This is the enterprise search engine you'll learn about in this tutorial. The latest
version was 8.4.1 at the time of this writing.

Apache V2
- This tutorial uses Apache V2 as the hosting server of the Web application that you'll
integrate with the OmniFind APIs.

PHP
- You'll build a PHP Web application that will be integrated with the OmniFind APIs.

Operating system
- You'll need either Windows® or Linux® to use OmniFind. This
tutorial uses Windows. However, the Linux instructions are very similar and you
shouldn't have any problems using it.
