07 Jun 2005 Maven is a powerful tool, but you need to integrate it into one of the popular integrated development environments (IDEs) to bring its power closer to hand and make your work easier, thus increasing your productivity and project quality. This tutorial provides a concrete example of how to make Maven and Eclipse collaborate.
Prerequisites
This tutorial assumes that you're familiar with the basics of Maven. If that isn't the case, you should first read the "Getting started" guide on the Maven Web site. The developerWorks article "Project management: Maven makes it easy" is also a good starting point. To complete this tutorial, you need to have the following software installed: Maven V1.0.2 and Eclipse V3.1 M5
System requirements
An online connection is required because Maven will download a few files while working.
