This tutorial shows you how to use IBM Rational Application Developer V6.0 to build dynamic Web sites. The tutorial walks you through a simple example that uses Java servlets and JavaServer Pages to implement a simple messaging center. You'll learn how to use Rational Application Developer to develop a dynamic Web site, then test and debug your code.

Prerequisites

This tutorial is written for developers and Web site builders who quickly want to learn how to use Rational Application Developer to build dynamic Web sites. This tutorial assumes that you have a basic knowledge of HTML and Java technology. Because Rational Application Developer is easy to use, the tutorial is easy to follow, even if you're new to HTML and Java technology.


System requirements

To run the examples in this tutorial, you need to install Rational Application Developer Version 6.0. A link to a trial version is provided in the tutorial.
