Build Lotus Web services into a portal

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create a portlet for WebSphere Portal that will access Domino using Web services. We'll walk you through each step of the process, showing you how to access your Domino applications from any Web browser.

Prerequisites

This tutorial will be useful for developers working in an environment where Lotus Domino is deployed and Domino applications have already been developed. This tutorial is also intended for developers looking to extend their existing portal applications with portlets that will access Domino applications that have already been developed using Web services.

System requirements

The following software is required in order to complete the steps demonstrated in this tutorial:

• Lotus Domino Server 6, Lotus Notes 6 and Domino Designer 6 and Administrator 6.Free trial downloads of the latest versions are available.
• WebSphere Studio V5
  We are using the Application Developer configuration of WebSphere Studio V5, but other configurations will also work.
• Portal Toolkit 4.2.5.
