This tutorial shows you how to generate explanations for business problems by applying Intelligent Miner Modeling to corporate data. It also shows you how to display the results with Intelligent Miner Visualization.

Prerequisites

To complete this tutorial, you should be familiar with databases.You do not need to be familiar with data mining concepts.If you do not have domain knowledge of the business area, try to work with people that can provide this knowledge.


System requirements

To complete the steps in this tutorial, the following software must be installed on your computer:

  • IBM® DB2® UDB Version 8.1 or higher
  • IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Modeling and Scoring Version 8.2 or higher with the Easy Mining Procedures
  • Optionally, IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Visualization Version 8.2 or higher.
