Build and access DB2 stored procedures using mobile clients

This tutorial uses the features of DB2® Everyplace and Visual Studio. NET to create, deploy, and test a sample bank account application, which calls a remote DB2 Java procedure. In this tutorial, we also build a Java procedure using the DB2 application development client without writing a single line of code.

Prerequisites

The developers must have knowledge of smart device functionality provided with Visual Studio NET 2003 and an understanding of DB2 Everyplace.


System requirements

  • Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 3 or above
  • DB2 Everyplace 8.1.4 Enterprise Edition
  • Visual Studio .NET® 2003
