To use the Tivoli Monitoring AMI, you'll need an Amazon account. If you don't have one, you can create it as part of the registration process.
The Tivoli Monitoring AMI is available in three different editions. The editions are based on the number of virtual computing cores being monitored, which will consist of the number of AMI instances you would like to monitor multiplied by the number of virtual computing cores associated with those AMI instances. The Tivoli Monitoring AMI itself will run on either Small or High-CPU Medium 32-bit AMI instance types. Find more information about Amazon Machine Image instance types on Amazon.
To register with Amazon and start using the production-ready AMI for Tivoli Monitoring V6.2.1, select the number of VCPUs you plan to monitor:
| Up to 50 VCPUs |
| Up to 200 VCPUs |
| Up to 600 VCPUs |
