Lotus Foundations Start can be launched within 30 minutes and leverages self-managing and self-healing capabilities that minimize the need for human intervention.

With Lotus Foundations, customers can establish a company network, do e-mail, create and share documents, centrally manage files, backup data, and protect a business network from unwanted disruptions. Also included in Lotus Foundations Start are the IBM Lotus Symphony tools allowing you to work with spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.

Lotus Foundations Start serves as a platform for Lotus Domino, Linux, and Windows applications. Support for Microsoft Windows applications is available through a VMware add-on.
