DB2® Document Manager is one of the newest members of the IBM® Enterprise Content Management (ECM) portfolio. Do you need to quickly configure DB2 Document Manager in your test or development environment? Gain quick practical skills in configuring the basic elements of DB2 Document Manager.


Please keep in mind these assumptions and prerequisites:

  • You must have DB2 Document Manager 8.3 (DM) installed on a Microsoft Windows® machine
  • You must have DB2 Content Manager 8.3 (CM) installed somewhere on the network

About the authors

Ali Rohani received an Electrical Engineering and Management degree from McMaster University and has been working with Document Manager since its inception in December 2003. He has also been personally involved in most of the Proof of Concepts and installations of Document Manager in Canada.


Nicole Hughes has been working with ECM products since 1996. Prior to joining IBM, Nicole worked at Green Pasture Software (GPS) assisting and supporting a variety of customers in implementing ECM solutions. Her expertise in system design has led to successful implementations of ECM solutions such as facilities management, drawing management and procedures/policies management in a variety of industries including manufacturing and utilities. Nicole served as technical and project lead for customers implementing Document Management solutions on IBM Content Manager, FileNET Panagon and Lotus Domino.Doc platforms.
