About this tutorial
See how DB2 Developer Workbench provides a comprehensive development environment for creating, editing, debugging, deploying, and testing DB2 stored procedures. Create a sample stored procedure with a wizard, using a step-by-step process to retrieve XML data from product tables.
Prerequisites
This tutorial assumes that you have installed the DB2 9 server and DB2 Developer Workbench. It also assumes that you have set up the database and executed the sample application mentioned in the previous tutorial "Create an XML-based application using DB2 9" (developerWorks, August 2006). The sample application executed would have created a product XML table and inserted XML data into it. In this tutorial, create a stored procedures using the DB2 Developer Workbench that retrieves the product XML data.
