Introduction
Overview
This tutorial shows developers how to access DB2 Java stored procedures from
DB2 Everyplace-enabled Windows CE or Palm-based devices and emulators.
In this tutorial, we build a sample bank account-based application, which allows users to view the
account information. We build a Java stored procedure using DB2 application
development for accessing account information. This Java stored procedure will be
called by our DB2 Everyplace-enabled Windows CE or Palm-based devices or Emulator using
DB2Everyplace.NET Compact APIs.
We will use Smart Device Extensions provided with Visual Studio. NET 2003 along
with Visual C# and DB2 Everyplace .NET Managed Providers to build the application.
The application will be deployed and tested on Windows CE.NET Emulator.
