Activate the Performance Expert Extended Insight Feature

  1. To license Performance Expert Extended Insight Feature, run the Performance Expert Extended Insight activation executable.

    Here is a list of executables for each platform:

    • AIX: activateEI.sh
    • HP-UX: activateEI.sh
    • Linux: activateEI.sh
    • Solaris: activateEI.sh
    • Windows: activateEI.bat
  2. Go through the necessary screens.
  3. Click on the Activate the priced feature radio button to specify an installation where you would like to activate pureQuery priced feature, then click on Next, as shown in Figure 14:

  4. Enter the installation directory for Performance Expert, then click on Next to proceed.

    Here is a list of default Performance Expert installation directories for each platform:

    • AIX: /opt/IBM/db2pesrv/v3
    • HP-UX: /opt/IBM/db2pesrv/v3
    • Linux: /opt/IBM/db2pesrv/v3
    • Solaris: /opt/IBM/db2pesrv/v3
    • Windows: C:\Program Files\IBM\IBM DB2 Performance Expert Server V3

  5. Select the I accept the terms in the license agreement radio button, then click on Next:

  6. Review the installation information prior to executing installation, then click on activate:

  7. Once you verify the installation was successful, click on Done:
