Purpose

A brief video illustrating how to create a tree control using IBM Cognos Active Report.

Applicability

The following technique was validated using:

IBM Cognos 10.1.1 (Refresh Pack 1) using the Go Sales (query) package supplied with the samples.

Assumptions

This video assumes knowledge of and experience with IBM Cognos Report Studio.

Overview

This video will demonstrate how to use active report objects such as layered data decks and lists to create a tree control. This tree control can then be used to drive values supplied to reporting objects such as lists and charts to control the scope of data being displayed.
