Certification test
The certification test, Test 000-302 DB2 9 Database and Application Development (either version 302 or version 302A), is a 90 minute online test that can be taken upon the completion of an approved preparation course (see the Class organization tab). Certification exams are available at no charge when the class organization steps leading up to certification testing have been completed successfully. View additional information on the Certification Testing details page.
An IBM employee must proctor the online certification test, which is typically given on the university campus using internet-connected computers. Further information regarding the certification testing organization is available in the Class organization tab.
It is strongly recommended that students get sufficient time to learn the material and study for the exam. If they are taught the content in a condensed format (such as a 3-day workshop), it is best to give them additional time to study the material, either prior to the class or after the class, before they take the exam.
Those who complete the course and pass the 302 certification exam (either the 302 or the 302A version) will be IBM Certified Academic Associates in DB2 9 Database and Application Fundamentals.
Note: Both versions of the exam (302 and 302A) will be available during a six-month transition to the updated version of the course. The 302 version of the exam will be removed in January 2012.
