This technology preview demonstrates the ability to maintain and inspect the lineage of documents and master data linked by the the IBM® InfoSphere™ Master Content for InfoSphere Master Data Management Server product, including the creation and update of documents and master data records. By inspecting the lineage information, users can understand how documents are related to customer data and how documents have evolved in time.

How does it work?

This preview does not require the presence of the Infosphere Master Content for InfoSphere Master Data Management Server or Infosphere Master Data Server products. Only a FileNet P8 v4.0 or v4.5 installation is required (tested with 4.0.1.004 and 4.5.0.011).

The download file contains components to monitor the actions taking place on the content store and maintain their lineage, while simulating the creation and update of master records that would takes place in a full deployment (including Infosphere Master Content for InfoSphere Master Data Management Server or Infosphere Master Data Server products as well as the FileNet content manager). The lineage captured can then be inspected using the lineage browser application.

The current version number of the technology preview is: 0.0.1.0. The version of the zip file may be updated as known issues are fixed.
