The developerWorks website publishes original technology-oriented content driven by the wants and needs of developers. Our audience is the entire community of software developers—not just IBM customers and partners. developerWorks focuses on those developers who are committed to using and advancing open, standards-based, cross-platform technologies and strategies.
We publish: Tutorials, tips, code samples, blogs, forums, and wikis dedicated to serving your wants and needs as a developer. We emphasize relevant information that helps you perform your daily tasks and helps you maintain and improve your skills. Our content helps you cut through the information clutter to do your job more easily and effectively. Our content integrates cutting-edge technologies that you can access, evaluate, and learn from.
We do not publish: Non-technical information (sales brochures, marketing-focused case studies, customer testimonials, general news items) that is not broadly relevant to our developer audience.
Reprinting our published content on other sites: IBM and the content author share the copyright for developerWorks content. Reprints are permitted after 30 days of the content's initial publication on developerWorks and require explicit written permission either from IBM (contact Aimee Dean at firstname.lastname@example.org) or from the original author. In addition, we ask that the reprinted item prominently include this text and link to developerWorks:
