IBM resources for academia
IBM's Project Praviin program is launched to better educate millions of students for a more skilled and competitive IT workforce. The program offers a broad range of resources and support to students, faculty and institutions, aiming to provide skills in open standards, critical in a fast-paced and ever-changing IT industry. This program has already trained 429 students and 22 faculties in the engineering colleges in Sri Lanka. There are 94 students and 7 faculties certified on IBM technologies in the country form IBM. IBM has already established Centres of Excellence there at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, Malabe & at University of Moratawa, Moratawa.
