IBM Real Time Compression starter kit promotion (expires March 31, 2012)

Value proposition

This promotion allows customers to acquire a starter kit of IBM’s exclusive Real-time compression solution. This will allow customers to transparently deploy a storage efficiency solution for their NAS environment (IBM® N series, NetApp FAS and EMC Cellera and VNX) that is designed to reduce the capacity requirements by 50 - 80% while maintaining their performance level.

The offer

For a limited time only, you can acquire, for approximately $25,000*, a fixed configuration that includes:

  • two (2) eligible new IBM Real-time Compression Appliance STN6500s,
  • two (2) eligible new IBM Real-time Compression Software licenses that each support 25 terabytes of data storage, and
  • two (2) 1-year Software Maintenance registrations for the IBM Real-time Compression Software licenses.

In order to qualify, all components of the configuration must be acquired as part of a single transaction, and appear on a single order submitted to IBM.

Start and/or end dates

Orders must be received by IBM on or before March 31, 2012.

The date of shipment from IBM must occur on or after October 18, 2011, but no later than April 15, 2012.
